@ 1:01 PM
it's my many attempt to revive this blog! sometimes i do have a sudden urge to blog, but sometimes, i'm just pure lazy. anyway, who reads it? i just want to blog so i can read back in future....

ok, so it's back to Day 3 of our long overdue Taiwan Trip...

Day 3: 20.01.2011

as usual, we missed the hotel breakfast and had to get our breakfast elsewhere. on the way to the train station, it's our daily fix of 50嵐 and we got the 檸檬蜜 which was kinda too sourish to our liking.

then it's to Sogo @ 忠孝復興 for 鼎泰豐. somehow we prefer Singapore's version which seems nicer. but their xiao long bao has less fats which is love!! spotted their souvenir (a clipper) which we fell in love with immediately! thus we had to get a few for friends and for ourselves..... headed up to onitsuka tiger after the late 'breakfast' then it's down to Taipei 101

Taipei 101 seriously has nothing to rave about (all the branded boutiques), except for the observatory deck which we gave it a miss. but well, going to Taipei without going to the iconic Taipei 101 is just like somehow weird? So it's still a must visit for first-timers to Taipei (like Gabby). Due to Gabby's knee injury, we have to rest whenever his knee is giving way. Thus, the first stop in Taipei 101 is McDonald's! Just simple love their crispy & succulent McNuggets which is way better than ours! After that, its up to PageOne to get my books.

Headed back to 西門町 after Taipei 101 since we had no other places in mind. Decided to catch a movie just for the experience, and in fact, their ticket price is more expensive than ours (surprisingly?). Well, the theatre was like our old Shaw at Lido, but at a smaller scale! Shadows are reflected onto the screen when people walk pass. -_-" The movie we caught was "Hereafter", and the whole theatre only has 8 pax, which includes us. I guess the reason was that Taiwanese will find it too difficult to understand such a movie? Not forgetting it's in English.

Walked along 西門町 to get ourselves some street food for supper then it's back to the hotel for the day...
