day 1 - 17.12.2009; 12degC reached airport around 10plus, checked in then roamed around to wait for time for boarding. in the meantime, mummy & gabby managed to came down to send us off.    x'mas deco inside transit area of T3   our flight to taipei....   free toys which the chief steward gave me after a chat with him   landing soon! landed at Taoyuan International airport around 4.50pm. initially, we planned to take a shuttle bus from the airport to Taoyuan High Speed Rail (HSR) Station to transfer to Taipei Main Station. but! we saw another shuttle service by Evergreen which was stated as 桃園直達台北. thus, we decided to take the evergreen shuttle to 雙連 (shuanglian) then cabbed down to the hotel which we'll be staying, 大順大飯店 (TS Hotel).  landed!    washed up then headed down to 五分埔 (wu fen pu) as planned to get my boots. had our dinner at 鬍鬚張滷肉飯 first before walking over to 五分埔. one thing i noticed about taipei is that their shops assistants are mostly males. kinda not used to it though....   1st meal in taipei  Wu Fen Pu then it was back to 西門's watsons, then hotel, then headed to carrefour which was nearby to get the neccessities, etc....  day 2 - 18.12.2009; 11degC had our breakfast in the hotel (the only day we had our breakfast in the hotel) first before heading out to 台北車站. shopped around the area which included 光南大批發，新光三越，彩虹３Ｃ資訊廣場 till around 3pm before we decided to head back to hotel to unload our shopping loots as we wanted to head down to 淡水, and we know it's not a good idea to carry everything to 淡水.    bought our 1st cups of 50 嵐 and mister donuts back to hotel for a short rest before we headed out to 淡水. and yeah, it's kind of a long journey as it's the other end of the 捷運站.  the life in 淡水 seems very relaxed as it's kind of slow paced. best of all, it's not crowded at all! thus, i vote this as one of my favourite place!  had our dinner which consist of the street food, such as 續光香香雞，黑豬肉香腸，阿給，甜不辣 & 檸檬愛玉。  back to 西門町 and had more food! had the delicious 蔥抓餅 & 黑砂糖烤麻糬!   went to make name stamps & stickers then it's back to hotel at around 12am...  day 3 - 19.12.2009; 10degC missed the hotel's breakfast as we woke up late. thus, we decided to have our brunch in 西門町。had mister donuts first then 爭鮮 sushi.   down to 忠孝復興 sogo to get my onitsuka tiger shoes then walked down to 敦化. visited the channel V studio, 光啟社, then to 東區地下街-> 東區 ->劍潭。  BMW Gran Turismo on display      pretty ATM reached miramar 美麗華 and saw a mini christmas concert which was held there. first one we saw was evanyo then peggy hsu. suprisingly, there wasn't any crowd and we managed to stand near the stage. after we decided to leave, pam managed to be kpo enough to spot the schedule list timing for different singer's performance. and that's when she spoted that 黃鴻升 (小鬼) will be performing at 8.55pm.  but guess what? our time checked was only 5+pm! as we have hours to kill, we headed up to take the ferris wheel, then walked over to opposite miramar for some street food (花枝丸, 臭豆腐 & 烤魷魚) as we were starving. then it's to starbucks for a cup of hot comfort from the cold weather.   finally, it's almost time! but who knows, there was a slight tremour from 花蓮's earthquake. and not many ppl felt it, including pam. but i did felt it, and i tot i was feeling too tired. trust 小鬼 to make a joke out of it and ppl are serious enough to trust it -_-". then, it's back to 士林夜市for food and shopping. i think the place is really over-rated! i dun like the place at all. it's too packed!!  to be continued.... somewhere too far for us to find. |
