wisdom tooth @ 10:58 PM
Wisdom Tooth Surgery

This is a minor surgical procedure that can usually be performed with little discomfort. The procedure can be performed under local anaesthesia (with or without sedation to control anxiety) or general anaesthesia. Your surgeon will advise you on the type most appropriate for your needs.

The surgery involves uncovering the tooth by lifting the overlying gums aside to expose the tooth and bone. The tooth may need to be sectioned in order to remove it. The gums are then stitched back.

does the procedure sounds scary? (for me, YES!)

few months back, i consulted a dentist for a gap between my last left tooth and the gums. the dentist had told me that it might be making way for wisdom tooth, only a x-ray can confirm. but, i didn't proceed with anything other than just normal washing. so till yesterday, i realised the gap is getting bigger and it feels weird. with a led light on hand, i got a 晴天劈雳 news! i can see the tooth thru a very small exposure of the gums! so i can just conclude it's really wisdom tooth! OMG~ i'm damn scared just thinking of the surgery and the after effect! dunno if it's a good thing or bad thing, cause only the left lower wisdom tooth erupted!

i've always thought that my wisdom tooth will never erupt and i'll be clear of wisdom tooth extraction for the rest of my life. but.... who knows! ok, i shall console myself by telling myself that only people who have wisdom will have wisdom tooth. (i know it's crap)

guess i've to accept reality and consult a dentist soon again...
