it's countdown to 1 week to my taiwan trip! somehow not so excited now, i dunno why. maybe i'll feel more excited next week? i hope so! but of coz, i sure look forward to the trip. MIGHT be my last few trips as I guess it's really time to shelf future travel plans for the flat...

and it's already gonna be the end of the year again. looking back, i realised my saving plans had seriously flopped! online shopping is one of the reason that flopped my plans. well, with the guranteed queue no. for the sales of balance flats application, i'm starting to feel the heat.

if we managed to get a flat of our liking, MOST prob will be like early 2012 or even late 2011. what comes next will be the renovation fees, furniture, wedding banquet, blah blah blah.... OK! i'm stressing myself..... it's REALLY time to review my own spending ways and saving plans. this time, I WILL DO IT for the sake of our future!

met the girls yst evening for steamboat dinner at Bugis. and now, i'm craving for steamboat AGAIN! hurhur... -slurps- only ate for almost 2 hrs then we went over to Bugis Junction for window shopping before we headed down to liqing's house for mahjong. it's been such a long time since we 4 shopped together!

my mahjong luck was pretty bad throughout the night! and imagine me losing till i'm almost left with 1 $4 chip? luckily i managed to "zi-mo man 5 tai" which helped to minimise my lost. and in fact, our main purpose was to discuss about our x'mas party, and guess what? we didn't manage to discuss anything. hurhur!!

while today, I headed down to sch in the morning with Gabby to submit my application for transfer of programme. then, we headed down to the other end, Ikea @ Tampines. delicious meatballs and chicken wing for lunch then went to find the x'mas decorations needed for my office. everything was cheap and nice! i just feel like buying everything! hehe....

plan was to head down to sitex after that, but when we were just outside the carpark at expo, we decided we shall just give it a miss. it was damn packed as usual! i doubt we can find a carpark space easily. thus, we declare GIVE UP! since i only wanted to find the privacy screen for my office's PC [i've shifted from a private location to a "public" location! =( ]

then, we decided to go ahead with our plan to Body Worlds Exhibition. so, it's back to the other end again! we bought the tix for the Body Worlds as well as Science Centre. well, it's only an additional of $1 only, but luckily i have the PA card so we got a good disount! spent some time inside the Body Worlds then headed over to Science Centre. i guess Science Centre is really all about pri school visits, coz nothing appeals to me now. hehe! dinner at Mac then Gabby sent me home while he went for his grandma's b'day dinner....

i just realised it's only 1 month, 3 weeks & 6 days left to my next holiday plan with my sister. we've booked the hotel way before, but for the air tix, we kept dragging & dragging. until this month, i realised jetstar is way overpriced! from $400 plus per pax when i checked a few months ago, till $644 per pax now! arrgh~ imagine my horror! my mum still said prices may drop initially when we just checked that time.

well it's obvious now that prices doesn't drop, but increasing EVERY WEEK! GOSH!! I really can't bring myself to pay for $644 for a no frills airline..... apparently, the only direct flights to Taipei from Singapore are only EVA (FULL!), SIA (EX!), china airlines (EX ALSO!), garuda (no fares available) & jetstar. but i guess my only hope now is to bear with the pain and book SIA. it's about $865 per pax though!! although it's $200 plus diff, it's at least i'm getting some service and more leg room during the 4 hrs plus flight. who will be in the right state of mind to pay $644 for a budget NO frills airline? not me definately.....

hopefully SIA can come up with more promotions NOW!! previously they had this promotion rate at only $551, and we missed it! DAMN!!!

arrgh so fed up!!

it was a short 2D/1N weekend getaway at Batam Harris Resort with Gabby on Sat. ferry timing initially was at 920am, but it was changed to 1010am after we went to collect our ferry tix. went to had our quick mac breakfast before checking in.

reached Batam in around 1 hr time (singapore time at 1110am, batam time at 1010am). immediate transfer to Harris without any delay at all. i realised the whole trip was VERY on time. their shuttle bus are all on time can!

in the ferry

reached!

well, the negative thing about the whole trip is the initial check-in part. as we arrived very early, their rooms weren't ready. i was told to check back in 1 hr time but after 1 hr, we were told that check-in is only at 2pm (batam time)! time check at that time was only 12pm (batam time). imagine our horror! but i know we can't blame them as their check out time was 12pm. but the counter staffs aren't making it nice for us. getting fed up of waiting & waiting, we decided to explore the area and luckily we found the bowling alley which helped to kill time for us.

sorching & sunny till we can hardly open our eyes

gabby in action

finally managed to check in before 2pm (batam time) as they gave us another ready room instead of the initial room they gave us. had a quick wash up then went out for their shuttle bus to Nagoya town at 2pm.

basically, it's the first time we don't know where we should spend our money on as there's nothing much there. we didn't want to bring back the rupiah thus we tried to spend everything we had.

chiong to A&W when we reached the mall. sadly, they do not have coney dog! and their root beer float & curly fries weren't nice! disappointed can!

on the way to nagoya

nagoya town mall

why can't they bring it back to SG?

settled for the 2 pcs chicken, but it's kinda pathetic right

not nice! KL's A&W is much nicer!

walked around then finally bought myself 2 lingerie. hurhur... then after that, we managed to spend all the rupiah by buying gel (gabby's), drinks, acne mask, etc.... well, the beer were damn cheap! around SGD1.30 per can! imagine that!! i guess if the rest came with us, they'll empty the shelves. hehe!! take away pizza then it's back to the resort.

waiting for our pizza

washed up and headed for our main motive of the trip, SPA! the package consists of a 3 hrs spa treatment. body scub, massage & healing bath. the environment was really nice... it's an open concept spa. the spa was at level 3 and as our spa timing was at 6.30pm, the pool side were getting ready for live band & dinner for guests. so instead of the tranquil music, we listened to the band's music which Gab mentioned that it spoilt the whole treament. but for me, i still managed to relax & fell asleep. hurhur.... they even had fireworks! nice!!

the spa "room"

back to the room after the spa for our late dinner, the cold pizza. but, the pizza was still nice!! it isn't oily can... and it's tuna melt! does singapore have tuna melt pizza? usually i only go for hawaiian pizza, but they didn't have it. well, it's delicious! played a game to digest before bathing then it's finally bedtime! was freaking tired as i slept at around 2am and had to wake up at 6.20am....

tuna melt pizza

local beer... not to my liking

cute harris slippers

slept all the way till before check out since we didn't have much to do. checked out at 12pm then went for our lunch. as our ferry timing was at 4.30pm (batam time), we still had plenty of time to kill. so it was to the bowling alley again then to their D'Bar for a drink and for the aircon while we wait for the 4pm shuttle to waterfront city.

going back....

finally..... back to singapore at 6.30pm (singapore time)! dinner at vivo then it's home sweet home. overall this trip was enjoyable. staff there were really friendly! i love the spa!!

finally almost done with the last TMA for marketing mix. then it'll be our short getaway just for 2D/1N at batam. will be going there mainly for spa & to unwind after all the TMA. but after the trip, it'll be back to ECA!

damn freaking stressed out for ECA as it's not easy can! arrgh~ hopefully i'll be able to finish earlier then I'll be able to take the video earlier as well. but, being the slacker & lazy me, i doubt so....

but in the meantime, i shall think about the trip first...!
